The Office of International Programmes (OIP) at the University of Ibadan, established in May 2009, serves as the central hub for advancing the university's internationalization agenda. Its mission is to enrich global awareness among staff and students, expand the university's international posture, promote a reputable international presence, and showcase the University of Ibadan's role as a leading institution in Africa

Key Functions of the OIP:

Coordinating International Academic Programmes: The OIP facilitates and supports international academic collaborations, including student and staff exchanges, joint research initiatives, and global academic partnerships.

Capacity Building for Global Citizenship: It organizes workshops, seminars, and training sessions aimed at preparing the university community for active participation in the global academic environment.

Information Dissemination: The office provides up-to-date information on international opportunities such as scholarships, fellowships, and exchange programs to students and staff.

Promoting International Partnerships: The OIP actively seeks and maintains partnerships with over 70 reputable international institutions, enhancing the university's global network. 

Advocating for Internationalization: It works towards integrating international perspectives into the university's curricula and promoting the internationalization of facilities and programs

The OIP also assists international visitors and students by providing essential information and support services, including guidance on living in Ibadan, campus life, and logistical arrangements.
