The vision of OIP is to enlarge the University Ibadan’s frontiers of international relationships

1.3 Mission

The mission of the Office of International Programmes at the University of Ibadan isto enrich global awareness among staff and students, expand the internationalization posture of the university, promote a reputable international presence and showcase its role as a leading institution in Africa. In the literal sense, the OIP will bring the world to UI and also present UI to the world. The OIP will provide the capacity for staff and students to be global citizens and sustain the University’s image as the premier university through its international activities. The University aims to be a world class institution recognized for excellence and therefore supports a well-resourced OIP to provide leadership in the development of a learning environment with an international focus and a wider global reach. Our goal is to strengthen the university’s competitiveness by providing and attracting the best ideas and technology towards educational leadership in Africa. 

To accomplish its mission, OIP will:

1. Promote UI’s vision of internationalization

2. Coordinate and support international academic programmes

3. Facilitate capacity building for global citizenship

4. Generate and disseminate information on international opportunities

5. Promote and sustain international partnerships
