Delegation from University of Abomey-Calavi Visits University Of Ibadan
A delegation from University of Abomey-Calavi, Cotonou, which comprised of Professor Codjia Jean T. Claude, Professor Akonde T. Pierre, Vice Dean of Agricultural Faculty, Professor Ahohuendo Bonaveulure Cohovi, Dean of Agronomic Sciences, Professor Hounhouigan D. Joseph and Coordinator of Productivity programme, Professor Adeossi Bertin visited University of Ibadan on Friday 23rd May, 2017. They were received by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor A. Idowu Olayinka accompanied by the Dean of Postgraduate School, Professor J.F Babalola, Director of the Office of International Programmes, Professor Oluwatoyin Odeku.
The delegation was in the University of Ibadan to see Possible collaboration in the areas like Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Forestry, Agricultural Extension, Animal Production, Water Management and Biometrics in Master Programmes.
In his contribution, the VC welcomed the delegation to the Ivory Tower stating that it is part of the vision of the University to see other Universities collaborate and get trained. He further stated that the language of study won’t be a problem as there would be a three-month language programme before the commencement of the master’s programme.
In conclusion, the VC admonished the team by putting their mind at rest stting that as soon as the school is notified, accommodation will be settled. Hence, UI will be very willing to collaborate actively with UAC. The visit ended with a group photograph with the delegates and the staff of Office of international Programmes.
